Ulla Schildt (b. 1971 in Finland) lives and works in Oslo. Schildt has studied photography at the Dublin Institute
of Technology and the University of Helsinki.

Schildt has exhibited widely in both Norway and internationally, including New Nordic Photography at Hasselblad Centre (Gothenburg, 2008), Nordic Light International Festival of Photography (Kristiansund, 2008), Ireland International Festival of Photography (Dublin, 2010), the Spring Exhibition at Fotogalleriet (Oslo,2011), A Rare Visitor at Akershus Kunstsenter (Lillestrøm, 2015), For a gentle song would not shake us if we never heard a loud one at Fotogalleriet (Oslo, 2016) and the Autumn Exhibition at Kunstnernes Hus (Oslo, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2018). 

Schildt received the Jury’s Award at the 64th Northern Norway Exhibition in 2010 and the Curtin O’Donoghue Photo Award 2008. Ulla Schildt’s works have been acquired by among others the University of Oslo’s Art Collection, Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation in Norway and the Office of Public Works in Ireland. Upcoming exhibitions are “Norwegian Journal of Photography” (group) at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Høvikodden, Norway and “Beyond the Circle” (solo) at Gallery Hippolyte, Helsinki, Finland, both in 2019.
