BIO

Acacia Johnson is an artist and photographer based in Northern Norway. Her work uses large-format analog photography to explore human relationships to the Polar Regions of the earth, blurring the lines between fine art and documentary.

Originally from Alaska, Acacia holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and is a former Fulbright Scholar. Her photographs have been exhibited internationally and are held in permanent collections at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Smithsonian Museum of American History, and the Anchorage Museum in Alaska, USA.

When not making photographs, Acacia works as a seasonal expedition guide and lecturer in Antarctica and the Arctic.
